Virgin with HardDrive was exhibited as an interactive multimedia installation at the MetroArts Gallery in Brisbane, September 98. The display involved three networked Macs (sorry Bill....NOT!), prints, slide projection, music and .. interactive computer stuff!! Since then a standalone CDrom of this stuff has been made and any new opportunities to display this are very welcome.
People came to the exhibition and we have proof! - click on an image here to inspect their faces or go to the surveillance page to see some caught unawares.

Set in the year 2082, the earth is a global museum, nearly everyone lives satellites. One woman who is meant to be preserving earthly treasures instead begins to destroy them. "Great" works of art and literature are smashed, burnt, scrambled and destroyed in this interactive fable of conservation. Music is a self-destructing 4-part fugue, audience members are drones in the satellite Leda 7, a disembodied voice urging them to think less and work more. Celebrate the phoenix-beauty not of deconstruction but of pure destruction and disintegration. Its time to rise from the ashes! View the remnants.
